As part of the performance agreement for the 2025–2027 period, the former Center for Technology & Society (CTS) is sharpening its thematic focus on Social Innovation.
This strategic step highlights the growing importance of technology-driven approaches that generate measurable societal impact.
To reflect this development and to clearly communicate its commitment to socially relevant, technology-driven innovation, the center will henceforth operate under the name:
CTSi – Center for Technology-driven Social Innovation
The new name makes visible what the center stands for: interdisciplinary impact, technology-driven solutions, and a commitment to actively contributing innovations to societal transformation processes.
With its transition to the Center for Technology-driven Social Innovation (CTSi), the center further strengthens its role as a bridge between technological innovation and societal impact. In doing so, the CTSi supports key strategic objectives of TU Wien, particularly the promotion of an innovative culture, the exchange of knowledge and methods among diverse stakeholders, and the development of socially relevant solutions with sustainable impact.
In addition to the name change, a newly designed logo has been introduced to visually represent and support this strategic realignment.
