We at the Center for Technology-driven Social Innovation connect universities, practitioners, and people to enable technology-driven social innovation.
Sometimes change begins when people from completely different fields sit down at the same table: engineers, social scientists, programmers, educators, and practitioners who know where the real challenges lie.
These encounters give rise to something new:
Technology that is not only possible, but meaningful.
Innovation that is not only smart, but socially effective.
This is precisely why the Center for Technology-driven Social Innovation at TU Wien exists - as a platform for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cooperation.
We combine knowledge, perspectives, and experience to jointly develop solutions for technical and socially relevant challenges such as the climate crisis, digitalization, and social sustainability. These critical issues concern the intersection of technological development and social responsibility. Open, inclusive, and interdisciplinary.
Because we are convinced that
The best ideas arise where technology and people shape the future together.
We support researchers, students and further actors who are interested in cooperation, innovation and interconnected research through networking skills, coordination work, participatory approaches and critical thinking.
